Sample project A
Amec Foster Wheeler designed and delivered facility-specific training programs for two FPSO (floating production storage and offloading) vessels. Using training centres that we set-up in Ulsan, Korea and Houston, Texas, training was delivered to over 300 trainees combining web-based operations modules, classroom sessions, a dynamic simulator, 3-D virtual field tours, and on-the-job assessments.

OperatorSuite™ (Amec Foster Wheeler’s learning and competence management system) allows you to demonstrate rigorous workforce assessment and competence to regulators and other stakeholders.
Since 2005 our deepwater oil and gas client located in Nigeria has used OperatorSuite™ to create, record, and manage all of its assessment records. The organisation achieved OPITO approval of its competence management system in January 2006.
Sample project C
A chemical plant in Vancouver, Canada is currently upgrading their facilities to include a new process line. To transition the operators to use the new equipment safely and effectively the plant is moving to a new learning environment. The creation of a comprehensive training program captures knowledge that is available on site now, but may disperse when the upgrade is complete.
Our solution uses a workforce lifecycle management model built on defining competency/tasks, grouping them into roles and positions, and developing training curricula and materials, and assessment tools. Adopting a performance-based competency system will enable transparent job progression opportunities within the organisation.
