Government services

Our Government sector evolves in direct relationship to the needs of our clients by providing three key benefits:

  1. We leverage global resources of around 40,000 employees in 55 countries to provide “boots on the ground” where our clients need us and knowledge of Host Nation laws, customs, and resources
  2. Our project managers and senior practice leaders know how to “stretch the funding stream” with cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices
  3. We integrate sustainability and resiliency concepts into every project to provide lasting solutions

From rapid response to a natural disaster to augmenting our people at civilian agencies to providing expert services, construction oversight, or management of large-scale programmes, we deliver mission-critical needs – whatever they are, wherever they’re needed.

Amec Foster Wheeler provides a range of multidisciplinary engineering, environmental and project management services to government clients, including defence organisations, central government agencies and local government bodies.

Our expertise includes policy development, master planning, water management, environmental analysis and permitting, engineering and design, construction, and well into asset operation. We earned the US Army’s highest honour in environmental stewardship and were presented with a Technology Merit Award from the Environmental Business Journal for the advancement of 'soil washing' as a range-remediation technique.

From ‘soil washing’ lead bullets and fragments from the crater of Hawaii’s Diamond Head volcano, to successfully installing an in-situ remediation system at Barnes Air National Guard Base, we are used to working in diverse and often challenging environments.
