We have prepared a water storage and distribution master plan to support the growth of Barrie City between 2011 and 2031. During this period the city is expecting significant growth with over 2,290 hectares of new development.
This high profile undertaking involved extensive stakeholder and public consultation, agency input and reviews, close working relationships with all levels of city staff, and on-going coordination with a number of other consulting firms.
Development of the master plan included evaluation of the existing infrastructure systems, updating and extension of computer models and forecasting of future infrastructure demands and needs. This led to the development of strategic servicing options, preparation of cost estimates and development of staging for the preferred option.
The Master Plan will finalise the preliminary water storage and distribution system concept for preferred option development.
