We have been providing design, procurement and construction management services for the world-scale packaging centre at the heart of the Sadara mega-complex.
It is part of a world-scale, fully integrated chemicals complex, one of the largest of its kind in the world and the world’s largest integrated chemical complex ever built in a single phase, with 26 state-of-the-art manufacturing units, over 3 million tons of capacity per annum and an investment of about US$20 billion.
This was our third win for this amazing project – the first was the FEED contract awarded in 2008 for the complex, followed by the propylene oxide unit in 2011.
The centre will handle solid and liquid products ranging from polyethylene and elastomer pellets, through a wide range of liquid products, including amines, glycols, isocyanates and polyols.
“It has been a long journey from the early days of the FEED back in 2008, to the erection of first steel for the Sadara Packaging centre in 2013. Achievement of this latest milestone is very visible evidence of our contribution to the creation of this record-breaking new complex.”
