ODEC is a regional, consumer-owned electric generation and transmission cooperative that provides power to a consortium of electric distribution cooperatives.
When the time came for ODEC to increase the combustion turbine facilities available to serve their member distribution cooperatives’ power requirements they contracted with us.
ODEC engaged the full range of our services for the greenfield installation of four dual fuel General Electric 7EA's and one dual fuel General Electric 7FA. As the EPC contractor, we were responsible for design engineering, procurement, construction, start-up and commissioning of the project. The construction scope of work included site work, concrete and foundations, all equipment systems and related piping and electrical, and access roads, storage tanks and loading facilities.
We completed this project on an accelerated schedule - fourteen months from mobilisation to start-up. Electricity from the Louisa Power Station serves eight ODEC member cooperatives on the Virginia mainland.
